The Cultural Heritage Agency advises the owners of historic buildings andarcheologiscal sites on matters concerning restoration, physical preservation and functional preservation, redevelopment, access and development. We can also advise them on the cultural and historic importance of their property.
In order to provide sound advice, it is vital that we have a good idea of the problems property owners face, and any questions they may have.
Since there are over 60,000 listed buildings and archaeological sites in the Netherlands, it is not possible to advise all property owners individually. We can only do so in the event of radical alterations to heritage sites, complex and costly restoration work and for a number of large institutional property owners.
Our priority for this group is therefore to make information on matters such as restoration and maintenance, grant options and permits available online.
